Spa Facial Treatments can be Done at Home

by Danielle Sims

The common saying of your face is your fortune is not true in the day and age of higher education, still most women expect that their faces to look attractive, no matter whether they are hanging out at home or in the workforce exposing themselves to many people. If you know your face is at its prettiest, then you can face the public with self-confidence.

Spa face treatments can make us feel relaxed, keep our skin soft and supple and skin looking radiant. A clean face is serious. Facial skin is not similar to the rest of the skin on our body, so it can attract tiny bacteria and dirt from the air outside and in the workplace. Add to this our perspiring and its no doubt our skin sometimes looks dirty. Use a quality facial cleanser to get rid of the deepest dirt that even soap can’t remove. Make certain it is desirable for your skin type.

Use a circular massage movement and exfoliation cream to take away your dead skin flakes. If you have an oily T-section - nose, chin and forehead - give that area extra attention. Steam your face by filling your sink or basin with warm water, dip in your cloth, wring it out and keep it on your face for a few seconds. Three to five times is good.

Apply your preferred mask, avoiding the delicate area around the eyes. Leave the mask on for about 15 minutes or so. Rinse it off with warm water and apply moisturizer, the cream should fit your skin and contain a sunscreen if you plan on being outdoors a lot.

Facial masks can be made inexpensively at home from ingredients in your kitchen. An apple cucumber mask includes: half a cucumber, one egg white, one drop of lime essential oil, 1/2 a teaspoon each of apple mint leaves, lemon or lime juice - or both. Blend until smooth in your blender and keep in the fridge, but for no longer than 2 days.
