Acne Remedies
Acne is one of the most common types of skin complaints that a person can suffer from and it is not just restricted to young people, adults can suffer from it also. Although it is most common for a person to suffer from the condition on their face it can actually affect other parts of the body as well. In fact the chest, back, shoulders, legs and buttocks can sometimes have acne form on them. But today there are various different acne remedies a person can now use in order to treat the condition.
Today people no longer have to rely on medication prescribed by their doctor to treat acne instead they may choose to use some of the safer natural remedies that are now available. Below we take a look at just what kinds of remedies you yourself may want to try if you suffer from this particular skin condition.
1. Tea Tree Essential Oil - Of all the natural remedies available this is one of the most popular. All you need to do is dilute a small amount of the oil with a carrier fluid and then gently dab directly using a cotton wall ball on to the affected area. This remedy is particular effective as it contains good anti-bacterial properties, which help to kill of the bacterium that is causing the acne.
2. Zinc - Yet another very popular remedy for acne even though it is not as effective as some of the medications that are prescribed or can be brought over the counter. But although it can help to reduce the acne there are some side effects associated with using zinc one of them being it can upset a person’s digestive system. Plus taking too much could actually cause other medical problems in the future.
3. Garlic - Again just like the tea tree oil this contains anti-bacterial qualities and when applied directly to the infected area helps to bring down the swelling as well as killing of the bacteria inside. People prefer to either apply crushed garlic or the juice directly to the area; however you will have to put up with the smell if you choose to use this remedy.
4. Lemons - These are another effective way of treating acne as they contain high levels of Vitamin C, which can help to boost a person’s immune system. A boosted immune system means that the body is better able to fight off the bacterium that is causing the acne to appear.
Ideally you can either drink lemon juice mixed with other fluids to increase your Vitamin C, but a much better way is by applying it directly to the acne. In order to do this you need to mix the juice of a lemon with some rosewater before applying it directly on to the area affected using a cotton wool ball. Once applied you then need to leave it alone for around thirty minutes so that it can all be absorbed into the skin. Plus with this particular remedy you will need to apply it between two and three times each day.
Along with the various different acne remedies we have mentioned above a quick search of the internet and you will find plenty more that you can try. Plus the great thing about using these over those prescribed by either your doctor or which can be purchased over the counter is the cost. Whilst another benefit to using such remedies is not only are the completely natural but are also safe as well and will leave your skin looking great and free from acne.
